As you might have noticed if you’re familiar with my other posts, I like to calculate the Weight Watchers Points values of most everything that I make. This recipe is one of the exceptions. It’s almost Thanksgiving, and while I definitely won’t judge you if you try to stay on track over the Holidays, I also won’t judge you for indulging.
I suppose these could be worse?
But they are sooo good, and even easier to make.
The ingredients you need are:
- 2/3 cup oil (I used canola)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- extra granulated sugar for coating
Preheat your oven to 350° F, then start by combining your wet ingredients and sugar. With a mixer or a hand-whisk, beat until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together your flour, baking soda, cinnamon ginger, and cloves.
Then combine your dry with your wet.
Next, prepare your baking sheets and plate of sugar.
Roll your cookie dough into a 1 to 2-inch ball (depending on how big you want your cookies) and roll them in your sugar. Place on baking sheet with plenty of room in between cookies.
Pop them in the oven for 10-11 minutes and they should look something like this.
Let them cool on the baking tray for a couple minutes before you try to transfer them to a cooling rack. Then you’re done!
